The 6-foot-5 Galloway is averaging 5.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 16.8 minutes per contest.  He has made 53.8 percent of his shots overall including 3-of-9 from behind-the-arc. Listen as former IU basketball star point guard Michael Lewis joined A.J. Guyton on the House of Hoosier podcast.  Lewis is currently an assistant coach at UCLA. When he left Indiana in 2000 Lewis was the program’s all-time assist leader with 545.  He added 887 points during his IU career that started in 1996. The 6-1 Lewis averaged 31.5 points a game as a senior in 1995-96 for Jasper High School and was second in voting for Indiana Mr. Basketball. Indiana formally announced its hiring of Chad Wilt as the program’s new defensive coordinator on Friday afternoon. Both Wilt and head coach Tom Allen commented on the new role for the 21-year coaching veteran. Indiana was roadkill once again.  For the fourth time this season and eighth straight true road game overall, the Hoosiers came up empty away from Bloomington, falling 83-74 in Iowa City. Indiana lost to Iowa by a final score of 83-74 at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City on Thursday evening. The Hoosiers led at halftime 48-41 and were led in the game by Trayce Jackson-Davis with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Indiana was without its leading scorer on Thursday evening, but the result remained the same as the Hoosiers defeated Nebraska 72-65 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to move to 13-2 overall and 5-0 in the Big Ten. The No. 6 Hoosiers were led by Grace Berger with 22 points.  Aleksa Gulbe added 17.  Starting center and leading scorer Mackenzie Holmes was out with a knee injury.  With her out, the Hoosiers went with just six players, all of whom played at least 24 minutes.
