Much of Indiana’s success defensively since Tom Allen arrived in 2016 has been based on deception at the line of scrimmage and giving the quarterback pre-snap looks he hasn’t seen. The Indiana staff likes the Baltimore and Montverde Academy connection. Class of 2024 forward Derik Queen, who hails from Baltimore and recently transferred to Montverde, announced an offer from Indiana. “Blessed to be offered by IU,” Queen wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and four assists per game last season at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.  He scored a career-high 56 points on March 12 against Annapolis Area Christian School.  On film he shows a lot of versatility and skill as an inside/out scorer with impressive handles for his size.…

Former IU football and long time NFL quarterback Trent Green is one of five individuals who will be honored this weekend by Indiana for contributions to the school’s athletics programs. Former IU defensive back Mark Sutor will also receive the Clevenger Award, while former female athletes Linda Bunce, Suzanne Crump and Melina Maniatis Kennedy will receive the Leanne Grotke Award. As the Memorial Stadium gates opened on Saturday evening, a sight not often seen inside the 61 year old venue unfolded. The injuries continue to mount in the Indiana secondary. Redshirt freshman cornerback Chris Keys, who himself was filling in for injured cornerback Jaylin Williams on Saturday, has a torn ACL and is out for the season head coach Tom Allen indicated at his regular Monday morning press conference.
