When Indiana fans get their first look at new head coach Mike Woodson’s approach on both ends of the floor in just under a month, it won’t resemble what they reluctantly grew accustomed to over the last four years. Mike Woodson knew two things when he retired from the NBA as a player in 1991. First, he was content with moving back to Bloomington and focusing on his real estate business with fellow former IU star Scott May. Indiana is continuing its push for one of the top in-state players in the class of 2023. Indianapolis Cathedral High School forward Xavier Booker will take an official visit to Bloomington in a couple weeks The Daily Hoosier reported first through a source.  Booker confirmed with The Daily Hoosier the visit is from Oct. 21 through the weekend.  IU football hosts Ohio State that weekend. Point guard is a priority position for IU basketball in the recruiting class of 2023 and there is clear mutual interest with Gabe Cupps out of Centerville, Ohio. Cupps is 6-foot-1 and currently ranked No. 141 by Rivals.  He played up a year on the Adidas circuit with fellow IU recruiting target Reed Sheppard for the Ohio based Midwest Basketball Club.
