Indiana defeated Jackson State by a final score of 70-35 on Tuesday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers led at halftime 34-17. They were led in the game by Xavier Johnson with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Miller Kopp added 12 points and 5 rebounds. Trayce Jackson-Davis rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11, and Jordan Geronimo had a team high 8 rebounds. Indiana (5-0) will host Marshall on Saturday at 7 p.m. Eastern in Bloomington. Roster management projects to be a major challenge across college football in the coming weeks, and already at least a fifth IU player has made a decision before the season ended. Wide receiver Jacolby Hewitt is in the transfer portal. The 6-foot-1 and 202 pound Hewitt played in ten games for IU this season. He caught eight passes for 47 yards, and added one rush for six yards. Hewitt also returned 10 kickoffs for 226 yards for the Hoosiers. Hewitt made his debut on the field for Indiana in 2020.
