Indiana football head coach Tom Allen met with the media on Thursday to take questions going into the team’s penultimate game against Minnesota. The Hoosiers (2-8, 0-7) and Minnesota (6-4, 4-3) kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.  The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Saturday’s game is IU’s final at home, and thus the program’s Senior Day. Four months from now it will simply count as an important win on a postseason resume. Indiana was by no means perfect on Wednesday against St. John’s in connection with the Gavitt Games.  Following a familiar script, they ran out to a big lead, at one point 37-23, only to watch it all melt away in front of a raucous and at times nervous crowd at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.  But the Hoosiers competed and found enough answers in the critical moments down the stretch to claim a 76-74 win over a very talented and tough-minded Red Storm squad. Indiana defeated St. John’s by a final score of 76-74 on Wednesday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Indiana picked up its second class of 2023 commit on Tuesday evening when Centerville, Ohio point guard Gabe Cupps announced he has verbally pledged to the Hoosiers. The 6-foot-2 Cupps is a 3-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 20 ranked point guard in the class.
