Indiana continues to look to what thus far has been fertile recruiting ground in Georgia. The latest player from the Peach State to receive an IU offer is class of 2025 forward Caleb Wilson. Wilson is a 6-foot-7 hybrid forward/wing who attends Holy Innocents High School in Atlanta. Through his first three high school games Wilson is averaging 17.7 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Indiana lost 66-58 to No. 2 N.C. State on Thursday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall as part of the Big Ten / ACC Challenge. The Hoosiers struggled throughout on the offensive end in front of 5,242 fans in Bloomington. IU made just 22-of-65 shots on the night, good for just 33.8 percent. Indiana University’s student-athletes are graduating at a record pace according to an NCAA study released today. The NCAA announced that IU established a new school-record Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score of 92 percent, breaking the previous mark of 91 percent from each of the last three years. This also represents the tenth consecutive year that IU Athletics has either established a new record score or matched its previous record. The search for a new play-caller in Bloomington is well underway after head coach Tom Allen announced the firing of Nick Sheridan on Sunday. With the transfer portal wide open and the high school early signing period fast approaching, Indiana is looking to fill the opening in short order to help clarify for prospects what the IU offense will look like in 2022. No sooner than the 2021 season ended, the IU football staff hit the road looking to find the pieces to get the program back on track. The Hoosiers will welcome two intriguing targets from the transfer portal this weekend, and a third from the high school ranks will visit the following weekend. Indiana redshirt senior tight end Peyton Hendershot was named third-team All-Big Ten for the third-straight season, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. Senior wide receiver Ty Fryfogle and junior offensive lineman Matthew Bedford earned honorable-mention recognition. Redshirt senior linebacker Thomas Allen was the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree. Hendershot is IU’s career tight ends leader with 136 receptions and 1,479 yards.
