With the frontcourt taking shape, Indiana’s transfer portal focus shifts to the backcourt. One name that emerged over the weekend was Louisville transfer guard El Ellis. Indiana has hit a home run in the transfer portal. 7-foot Oregon transfer center Kel’el Ware has committed to the Hoosiers soon after an official visit to Bloomington.  He is the No. 7 overall players and the No. 2 center in the portal according to On3. Hailing from Little Rock, Ark., Ware was a 5-star and top-10 recruit out of high school in the class of 2022. Michael Lewis knew where Payton Sparks’ heart was this time. Growing up in Jasper, Ind., Lewis dreamed of playing high major college basketball in the 90s.  And now the head coach at Ball State, Lewis faced Sparks last month, looking back at him with that same dream. Indiana fans will have to wait a couple more days for Oregon transfer big man Kel’el Ware to announce his next move. According to a report by Adam Zagoria, Ware will announce his next college decision on Tuesday. The 7-foot Ware took an official visit to Indiana beginning on Thursday.  The trip to Bloomington was Ware’s only official visit since entering the portal two weeks ago.  There were reports he intended to go to Alabama after the IU visit, but he didn’t make that trip. There was considerable social media buzz on Thursday evening as rumors circulated regarding a potential commitment by Oregon transfer center Kel’el Ware during his IU official visit. An IU men’s soccer alumni team has entered a $1 million, winner-takes-all soccer tournament. Hoosier Army is the first alumni team to enter the inaugural The Soccer Tournament (TST).  TST’s inaugural event will take place in Cary, N.C., June 1-4. VCU transfer forward Jalen Deloach is taking an official visit to IU on April 14 according to a report by Dushawn London, a national analyst with 247Sports. Deloach announced on Tuesday he is considering six schools as transfer destinations — Indiana, Miami, Florida State, Penn State, San Diego State and VCU. “Coach Woodson is a great coach and Indiana is the Mecca of basketball,” Deloach told London.  “With coach Woodson coaching in the NBA, I know he knows what it takes to get to the next level.” The 6-foot-9 and 215 pound Deloach started 32 games for VCU in 2022-23…
