Redshirt sophomore quarterback Brendan Sorsby is expected to take the field with the offense for Indiana’s opening drive. That’s based on The Daily Hoosier observing Sorsby taking first team snaps first in pre-game warm-ups. Sorsby appeared in one game during his true freshman season at IU a year ago.  He played against Penn State last season and was 3-of-6 for eight yards, and threw an interception. The Big Ten Conference announced last week it will debut a gameday student-athlete availability report for all football competition during the 2023 season. In connection with that new rule, both IU and Ohio State released injury reports on Saturday afternoon. Class of 2024 guard Austin Swartz will announce his college decision on Tuesday. The North Carolina based product was scheduled to visit IU September 14-16. This development obviously means Swartz is headed elsewhere. As we’ve previously reported on an individual basis, the IU basketball program will host three top-50 visitors from the class of 2025 this weekend. In-state combo-guard Jalen Haralson will be on campus this weekend for another visit.  Indiana offered the Fishers, Ind. product a scholarship before his first high school game, and they’ve been in hot pursuit since.  The 6-foot-6 Haralson is a 5-star prospect and the No. 7 player nationally in his class according to the On3 Industry Average.  He transferred from Fishers H.S. to national prep powerhouse La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) during the offseason.  Haralson has made several…
