Let’s take this show on the road, shall we? For the first time since December, IU football finds itself in unfriendly environs. And for the first time in a very, very long time, the Hoosiers are a road favorite at Iowa — a place they haven’t won since 2007. Here’s everything you need to know about Indiana’s week five matchup against the Hawkeyes in Iowa City. No. 11/12 INDIANA (4-0, 1-0) at IOWA (3-1, 1-0) Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET, Saturday Location: Iowa City, Iowa; Kinnick Stadium (69,250; field turf) Stream: Peacock (Paul Burmeister (pbp), Phil Simms (color), Caroline Pineda (sideline)…

Few football coaches can bridge their profession with basketball the way Cam Cameron can. Even fewer can weave in an Indiana perspective. A dual-sport athlete at Indiana, Cameron played football for the Hoosiers under Lee Corso, and basketball for Bob Knight. Cameron went on to a more than 30-year college and professional football coaching career that included five years as the head coach at IU — in the seat now held by Curt Cignetti. Cameron can’t help but notice similarities between the coaching styles of Cignetti and Knight. “This is as big of a compliment that I can give a…
The artificial crowd noise has been pumping through the speakers at Memorial Stadium all week as IU football prepares to face Iowa. When the Hoosiers confront 70,000 black and gold clad Hawkeye fans for a homecoming tussle in Iowa City Saturday afternoon (3:30 p.m. ET, Peacock), they should be ready for the real thing. “It’s loud, obnoxious,” center Pat Coogan said on Tuesday of the practice noise. “It rings your ears. We had it for the whole two hours. No breaks because you won’t get any breaks on Saturday. It’s good preparation for us.” 10 months ago, 10-0 Indiana wasn’t…
The long awaited return of the Indiana vs. Kentucky basketball series will be a primetime affair. The Hoosiers and Wildcats will tip at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday evening, Dec. 13. The game will be aired to a national audience on ESPN. This first of a four-game deal between the border rivals will be held at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. The series renewal was agreed to when Mike Woodson was the head coach, but it’s being inherited by Darian DeVries. “We want to make sure we do a great job of getting ourselves ready for Big Ten play and…
For a generation, the culture of Wisconsin football was clear as day, even from the outside looking in. Toughness, physicality, in your face, down your throat. Oh, and winning. Lots of winning. During a 10-game losing streak to the Badgers that spanned 2005 to 2017, Wisconsin beat Indiana by an average score of 51 to 14 (you had it coming Bret Bielema). But the times, they are changing in the Big Ten. Indiana has defeated Wisconsin two games in a row, and that has come before a coaching change at Indiana that has the Hoosiers off to a 15-2 start…
Indiana football will open the 2026 season on Sept. 5 with a game against North Texas at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, North Texas reported on Wednesday. This was a spot previously filled by Colorado State. The Bloomington Herald Times is reporting Colorado State paid IU to void that contract. The North Texas Mean Green (named after Pittsburgh Steelers legend Mean Joe Greene) play in the American Athletic Conference. In his third season leading the program, head coach Eric Morris has North Texas off to a 4-0 start that includes a 59-10 home win over Washington State. With a top-10 scoring…
Indiana received good news from the courtroom on Wednesday afternoon. Dallas County, Texas judge Dale Tillery ruled IU football safety Louis Moore won an injunction against the NCAA to remain eligible the rest of the 2025 season. A Temporary Restraining Order clearing Moore for the rest of the season was filed in the Dallas County Court portal. “This Court is of the opinion that Moore is entitled to the issuance of Temporary Injunction and that such an Order is necessary to protect Moore’s rights and interests,” Tillery wrote. “This Order is necessary because of the immediate need to allow Moore…
Fall is here and that means we’re in official visit and commitment season. So it’s time to take another look at where things stand with Indiana and their primary class of 2026 targets. New IU basketball coach Darian DeVries and his staff have extended more than 20 offers in the class of 2026, and we’ve reported on all of them. Here’s the latest on where things stand: COMMITTED: This is the easy part. Maryland-based 6-foot-4 guard Prince Alexander-Moody committed in June and he’s been a vocal supporter since. Based on the average of the national recruiting sites, he’s a 3-star, the No.…
Other than all three phases of the game, the Big Ten’s all-time winningest coach has no concerns about Indiana. That was the playful assessment Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz gave of Indiana on Tuesday. The more serious version? After watching the Hoosiers post 63 points on Illinois Saturday night, Ferentz compared IU to last year’s national champs. And if you’re an opposing coach in front of a microphone on game week, why not? IU’s 219 total points to start the season are the most it’s ever scored in a four-game stretch, breaking the record of 213 set last year. They…
The 2025 NFL season is underway, and seven former Hoosiers saw the field in week three. Here’s a quick overview of how they performed. Dan Feeney – Tampa Bay Buccaneers, OL This week featured an IU invasion of the Tampa Bay offensive line. Tampa Bay signed Feeney off Buffalo’s practice squad. He did not play in his first game with the Bucs. His return to a roster makes Feeney the active longest tenured former Hoosier in the NFL. He has played in 120 games over the last eight seasons. Tampa Bay is his fifth NFL team roster. Luke Haggard -…
