    A look at the final rankings of IU basketball’s 2022 signees at the four main national outlets

    All four Indiana class of 2022 signees were ranked in the top-110 nationally according to 247Sports’ final rankings for the incoming freshman class published on Wednesday.

    Montverde Academy products Jalen Hood-Schifino (23) and Malik Reneau (35) were both top-35 prospects, while Kaleb Banks comes in at No. 77.

    247Sports was the first of the national outlets to include Lawrence North shooting guard C.J. Gunn in their final rankings.  He comes in at No. 107.

    All four IU signees are 4-stars according to 247Sports.

    Previously, the three other main national outlets that prepare rankings published their final class of 2022 standings.  The rankings for each IU signee at the four outlets are summarized below.

    According to the On3 Consensus rankings, which average the four main national recruiting ratings sites (On3, 247, Rivals, and ESPN), Indiana has the No. 14 class in country and the the No. 1 class in the Big Ten.

    JALEN HOOD-SCHIFINO

    • 247Sports – 23
    • On3 – 17
    • ESPN – 24
    • Rivals – 17

    Native of Pittsburgh is the highest rated incoming recruit in the Big Ten (247Sports) and led his Monteverde (Fla.) Academy team to its sixth GEICO High School national championship and second straight.  He scored 14 points and hit three triples in the Jordan Brand Classic.

    MALIK RENEAU

    • 247Sports – 34
    • On3 – 36
    • ESPN – 22
    • Rivals – 25

    Reneau averaged 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds this past season, including 14.3 points and 8.3 rebounds at the GEICO High School Nationals. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds in the championship game.

    KALEB BANKS

    • 247Sports – 77
    • On3 – 118
    • ESPN – 78
    • Rivals – 130

    Averaged 23.0 points, 10.0 boards and 1.4 steals per game during his senior season of high school.  Banks secured over 2,000 career points.  He was the Georgia Class 4A Player of the Year.

    CJ GUNN

    • 247Sports – 107
    • On3 – not ranked
    • ESPN – not ranked
    • Rivals – not ranked

    Averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals per game as a senior while shooting 46.8% from the field and 37.4% from deep.  Gunn was an Indiana All-Star IBCA Supreme 15 All-State selection.
