    Pro Hoosiers: Seven on NBA rosters to open 2023-24 season

    The 2023-24 NBA season tips off on Tuesday evening.

    Seven former Indiana Hoosiers are on active rosters as the league begins its 78th regular season.

    On opening night, three of the former IU players will be on national television in marquee matchups.  Jalen Hood-Schifino and the Los Angeles Lakers will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. ET against defending NBA champ Denver on TNT.  Hood-Schifino has been dealing with a knee injury and may not play.

    Later on Tuesday, Trayce Jackson-Davis and the Golden State Warriors will meet Eric Gordon and the Phoenix Suns at 10 p.m. ET on TNT.

    For IU fans who live in Indiana, here are the dates when former Hoosiers will play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis:

    • Jalen Hood-Schifino:  March 29
    • Trayce Jackson-Davis:  February 8
    • OG Anunoby:  November 22, February 26
    • Eric Gordon:  January 26
    • Cody Zeller:  February 28
    • Thomas Bryant:  April 7
    • Victor Oladipo:  February 6

    Note:  There are also two former IU players who saw action in the league a year ago who are not currently with an NBA franchise — former one-and-dones Romeo Langford and Noah Vonleh.
