Former Center Grove H.S. (Greenwood, Indiana) and IU quarterback Tayven Jackson will be wearing opposing green this weekend as the starting quarterback for North Texas.
Jackson will have more than 100 friends and family members in attendance at Memorial Stadium, including his brother and IU basketball program legend Trayce Jackson-Davis, who will also wear green.
“It’s going to be familiar. I played there for two years,” Jackson said this week. “I know the stadium, I know some of the fans, I know dang near the whole team.”
Here’s Jackson’s full comments about the return to Bloomington and his time at IU, including his start in the 2024 win over Washington.

UNT head coach Neal Brown was effusive in his praise for IU coach Curt Cignetti and his staff this week.
As a Kentucky native, Brown can appreciate the significance of the turnaround Cignetti has orchestrated, calling it the best coaching job he’s seen at the professional or collegiate level in his lifetime.
