    Watch: IU Signees Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin in Instant Classics

    The college football playoff games weren’t close on Saturday night, but Indiana high school basketball game through with great games involving Indiana class of 2019 signees Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin.

    Further below are a few other games notes from the weekend involving IU basketball recruiting targets.

    CENTER GROVE vs. WARREN CENTRAL

    Whether it is football or basketball, Warren Central just never seems lose.  After an undefeated football season culminating in a state title, the basketball Warriors won their 40th game in a row last night over IU signee Trayce Jackson-Davis and Center Grove.  Jackson-Davis scored 23 points.  IU football recruiting target David Bell did not play.

    CATHEDRAL vs. ZIONSVILLE

    After an injury scare earlier in the day, IU signee Armaan Franklin came back and led Cathedral to an amazing come-from-behind win over Zionsville.  Down 20 points in the third quarter, Cathedral came all the way back to win in double overtime.  Franklin led the way with 28 points and was named the MVP of the Bob Wettig Invitational.

    Other IU recruiting targets in action:

    • Bloomington South’s Anthony Leal (class of 2020) also played in Richmond this weekend.  You can watch the stream of their final game here.  Leal scored 18 points in this one.
    • Fort Wayne Blackhawk and Caleb Furst (class of 2021) won the Old National Bank Tourney.  You can see the highlights here.
    • Ethan Morton (class of 2020, Pennsylvania) had a quiet night with a zone directed at stopping him.  He managed just 14 on Saturday night.  Morton had scored 27 in the opening round of the C.J. Betters RBA Holiday Classic.
    • Keion Brooks, Jr. and No. 1 La Lumiere won the Hoop City Classic in South Dakota last night.  Brooks, Jr. had 23 points in the finale.  You can see some of his highlights from a 25 point performance on Friday night here:
