Incoming IU basketball freshman guard Aleksa Ristic continued to impress on Wednesday as Serbia advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIBA U20 Eurobasket.
Watch below as Ristic posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists in a 75-61 Serbia win over Ukraine. After a slow start shooting the ball, Ristic has made 4 of his last 11 shots from three over the past two games.
Ristic has 30 assists against 10 turnovers over his four games at the event. His 7.5 assists per game are the second-most among all players.
Serbia will play Spain in the quarterfinals Thursday in Heraklion, Greece at Nea Alikarnassos Arena.
Ristic, wearing No. 5 in white below, is joining Indiana after the FIBA event, ahead of the team’s trip to Puerto Rico.
