Wommack served as the linebackers coach for Indiana from 2018-20 while also holding the title of defensive coordinator for his final two seasons. He was one of five finalists for the Broyles Award in the fall of 2020 after helping IU post a 6-2 mark and a No. 12 ranking in the final Associated Press poll.
No. 1 Indiana (13-0) faces No. 9 Alabama (11-3) on Jan. 1 in the CFP Quarterfinals at the Rose Bowl (ESPN).
