Indiana men’s basketball has officially signed Serbian guard Aleksa Ristic, the program announced in a press release Tuesday.
Ristic initially committed to the Hoosiers in June. He becomes the 12th scholarship player on IU’s roster for the 2025-26 season.
“Aleksa is a versatile guard that can play on and off the ball,” IU head coach Darian DeVries said in the release. “He is a competitive kid that has high-level experience playing in FIBA events. We think he has the ability to handle the basketball and make plays out of the pick-and-roll while also being an efficient shooter that will add tremendous depth to our backcourt.”
Ristic is playing with the Serbian National Team at the FIBA U20 European Championships in Greece from July 12-20. He’ll join Indiana after that tournament.
The 6-foot-4 combo guard averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game last season with KK Dynamic in the Basketball League of Serbia.
