Indiana basketball 2018 recruiting target Romeo Langford had two games over the weekend, both New Albany wins.  On Friday night the Bulldogs dominated Evansville North 112-43.  Langford scored 38 points on the night.

On Saturday New Albany again rolled, this time taking down Jasper 87-44.  Langford again scored 38 points on the night.  New Albany (15-1), who is ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, won their 12th straight game.

Langford would need to average 41.9 points over his remaining games and have his team reach the state finals in order to surpass Damon Bailey and become the state’s all-time leading scorer.  On the year thus far Romeo is averaging 34.0 points per game.

Based on Langford’s current scoring average it appears that he will end up anywhere from 2nd to 4th all-time.

Here is the current all-time IHSAA boy’s top 10 scoring list.  Over the weekend Langford passed former Park Tudor and current Xavier star Trevon Bluiett.  Langford has also passed former IU greats James Blackmon Jr. and Alan Henderson in recent weeks:
