Some of the best players from the Pac-12 are expected to play in Bloomington next season.

247Sports national analyst Travis Branham is predicting Indiana will land Arizona transfer center Oumar Ballo.

He is scheduled to arrive on the IU campus for a visit on Sunday.

Some outlets say Ballo is the top overall available player in the transfer portal.

At 7-foot and 260 pounds, Ballo was one of the best centers in the country this past season at Arizona. He averaged a double-double with 12.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game while leading the Wildcats to the Sweet 16.

Ballo is a top player in the nation based on multiple measures at KenPom:

    • Offensive rebounding percentage (15.2% / No. 15)
    • Effective field goal percentage (65.8% / No. 17)
    • Defensive rebounding percentage (26.9% / No. 20)
    • Free throw rate (68.3% / No. 26)

Ballo is the third player to receive predictions to transfer to Indiana this week.  Earlier, Washington State guard Myles Rice and Stanford guard Kanaan Carlyle were both predicted to transfer to IU by multiple outlets.

    MALONE SCHEDULES VISIT

Grace College and NAIA national player of the year Elijah Malone has set an Indiana visit for April 18, The Daily Hoosier can confirm.  It was first reported by NAIA Hoops Report.

He won the Bevo Francis Award for the best non-Division I player in college basketball this week.

Malone had a Zoom meeting with IU last week.

The 6-foot-10 Malone posted career-best numbers this year, producing 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.9 assists per game. He shot 63 percent from the floor, 37 percent on 3-pointers (on 103 attempts) and 81 percent from the free throw line.  He’s a career 39 percent shooter from three.
