One member of Darian DeVries new IU basketball roster is on the NBA Draft early entry list released Tuesday.

Troy transfer guard Tayton Conerway will test the NBA waters in the weeks to come.  He announced his transfer to Indiana a couple weeks ago and will have until May 28 to formally stay in or take his name out of the draft.

Former Indiana forward Mackenzie Mgbako is also on the early entry list.  He announced his transfer to Texas A&M earlier this month.

The NBA Draft Combine runs May 11-18.  The invite list for that event should be released by the league in the next week.

The 6-foot-3 and 185-pound Conerway was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2024-25. Conerway led Troy in points (14.2), assists (4.8), steals (2.9) and minutes (30.4). He shot 47.1 percent from the field overall including 27 percent from three. He converted at a 66.4 percent clip at the free throw line.

Conerway stood out nationally in 2024-25 in several ways. He had the third-highest steal rate (5.6%) in the country across Division I, and the No. 20 assist rate (36.8%). He was also highly efficient from two, making 57.6% of his shots.

Other notable names from the Big Ten on the early entry list are Ace Bailey (Rutgers), Nate Bittle (Oregon), John Blackwell (Wisconsin), Dylan Harper (Rutgers), Dominick Harris (UCLA), Kasparas Jakucionis (Illinois), Nick Martinelli (Northwestern), Yanic Konan Niederhauser (Penn State), Derik Queen (Maryland), Jase Richardson (Michigan State), Will Riley (Illinois), Bruce Thornton (Ohio State), and Danny Wolf (Michigan).

In total, 106 players are on the early entry list.  The 2025 NBA Draft will be held June 25-26 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
