LATEST GAME UPDATES:
Indiana had six players in double digits. Aiden Sherrell, Markus Burton, Prince Alexander-Moody, Trevor Manhertz, Bryce Lindsay, and Darren Harris.
FINAL: Indiana (USA) 98 – 64 Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf (Canada). Indiana controlled this game from the jump. The Hoosiers were lethal in transition and were able to turn rebounds, steals, and loose balls into quick points. The offense will run through Aiden Sherrell and Markus Burton this year. Sherrell adds size and physicality, whereas Burton is a speedy and aggressive guard who can beat you off the dribble or be a spot-up shooter. I was also very impressed with freshman Prince-Alexander Moody; he had five steals, pushed the tempo of the offense, and made an impact without the basketball. Alexander-Moody was incredible in his debut; he won over the crowd and scored all of his points in the second half. I can see him and Trevor Manhertz as key bench players for Darian DeVries if he wants to give the young guys a chance. Darren Harris and Bryce Lindsay will settle into their roles as perimeter shooters. Lindsay had an excellent second half, and Harris added a couple of threes of his own. It’s an entirely new team in Bloomington again, but this is a great start for the 2026-2027 squad.
Indiana leads 74-51 with 9:05 left in the game. A big-time three from Darren Harris and a coast-to-coast finish for Lindsay right out of the break. If we’ve learned one thing tonight. We’ve learned that Indiana is very good in transition.
At the end of the third quarter, Indiana leads 69-51. Bryce Lindsay has hit back-to-back three-pointers for Indiana. Lindsay was a proven scorer last season for Villanova; he averaged 12.3 points per game for the Wildcats.
Indiana leads 61-39 with 3:23 left in the third quarter. Prince Alexander-Moody has had quite the impressive debut in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. He turned his third steal of the night into a one-handed fast-break slam dunk. Alexander-Moody is the type of guy who chases every rebound and fights for every loose ball. He goes to the bench behind some loud cheers in the third quarter.
Aiden Sherell has been the best player on the floor tonight. The offense clearly runs through Sherrell and Markus Burton. This year’s new-look Hoosiers have looked solid in transition, constantly looking up the floor and controlling the pace of the game.

At the half, Indiana (USA) leads Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf (Canada) 46-32. Darian DeVries should be very happy with the first half.
1:31 left in the first half; Indiana leads 41-30. The Hoosiers haven’t shot the ball particularly well from beyond the three-point line as a team. However, Aiden Sherrell has knocked down back-to-back threes and remains a force down low for Indiana. I’ve been very impressed with Sherrell tonight; he’s been physical up the floor and is consistently fighting for loose balls and long rebounds, all while adding 14 points for the Hoosiers. Regardless of inconsistent shooting, the Hoosiers have been dominating the glass. Indiana has a clear size advantage. Second-chance points have been the Hoosiers’ best friend tonight.
6:51 left in the first half, Indiana leads 29-24. Markus Burton is the difference-maker we thought he was. The guard averaged 18.5 points at Notre Dame last year. Burton is quick off the dribble and could be the Hoosiers’ best on-ball defender.
At the end of the First Quarter, Indiana (USA) leads Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf (Canada) 23-19. Offensively, Indiana has been making the extra pass tonight. It’s still early, but the Hoosiers are dictating the pace up and down the floor. The duo of Sherrell and Yigitoglu is a breath of fresh air for Indiana fans. They have shown they can rebound and finish at the rim. Indiana’s freshmen Prince-Alexander Moody, Trevor Marhertz, and Vaughn Karvala have all looked excellent in the first quarter. Defensively, Indiana is getting beat off the dribble and looks very slow when protecting the baseline.
