    Beware the Ides of Keion?

In less than two weeks Indiana fans will find out the long awaited college choice of in-state recruiting target Keion Brooks, Jr.

The Fort Wayne, Indiana native is set to make the announcement in his hometown on March 15.  Brooks, Jr. indicated his plan via Twitter on Sunday evening:

I will be announcing my college decision Friday March 15 at 8 pm‼️@EvanDaniels @BSnow247 Location: St. Paul’s Lutheran School 1125 Barr St, Fort Wayne Indiana

    — Keion Brooks Jr. (@KeionB_12) March 4, 2019

The announcement will be available to watch live on CBS Sports HQ.

The Daily Hoosier has also confirmed through Brooks, Jr.’s mother that the general public is welcome to attend.

Brooks, Jr. is a five-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite, coming in as the 23rd ranked player in the country based on that service.

According to 247Sports, Brooks, Jr. has still not made his decision.  He said this in an article on that site today.

“My family and I are continuing to go through the process, but we know this is the date we want to have a decision by,” said Brooks. “I will continue to pray on this decision, and continue to figure out the best place for me going forward, and I am confident I will make the right choice.”

The 6-foot-8 wing attended Fort Wayne North Side during his first three years of high school.  Brooks, Jr. now attends La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana.  The Lakers are the No. 1 rated high school program in the country.

It is widely believed that Brooks, Jr. is down to a final two schools of Indiana and Kentucky, although Michigan State and North Carolina are also still in the mix.

A versatile forward that can score the ball inside and out, Brooks, Jr. would be expected to be a regular in the rotation as a freshman if he chooses Indiana.
