Indiana’s first commit in the class of 2021 is no longer destined for Bloomington.
Elkhart, Ind. top-500 3-star defensive end Rodney McGraw announced on Sunday that he flipped his commitment to Penn State.
McGraw broke the news on his Twitter page.

McGraw is ranked as the No. 409 player overall in the country in the class of 2021 according to the 247Sports Composite, the No. 26 weak side defensive end, and the No. 7 player in Indiana.
As a junior in 2019, McGraw posted 73 tackles with 21.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks and three forced fumbles.
McGraw had indicated at the time of his commitment to IU that strength coach David Ballou was an important factor in his decision. Ballou has since left the program to take the same position at Alabama.
Indiana has a commitment from 2021 in-state defensive end Cooper Jones, who is ranked slightly higher by the recruiting services.
