Indiana football moved inside the top-20 in the week four AP and coaches polls, setting up a national top-20 matchup against Illinois this Saturday.
The Hoosiers (3-0) are ranked No. 19 in the AP top-25, and No. 17 in the coaches poll released on Sunday afternoon following their 73-0 win over Indiana State.
IU has moved up one spot in the AP and two spots in the coaches poll since the preseason. They’ve been ranked in both polls every week so far this season.
Going back to last season, Indiana has been ranked for 16 straight editions of the AP top-25.
Indiana’s week four opponent Illinois is also 3-0 and ranked No. 9 in the AP and No. 8 in the coaches poll. That game will kick at 7:30 p.m. ET in Bloomington on Saturday (NBC).
Four of the national AP top-10 teams are from the Big Ten, with No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Penn State and No. 6 Oregon joining Illinois in that group. Michigan (21) and USC (25) are also ranked, and Nebraska is also receiving votes.
In the ESPN computer models, Indiana is now No. 16 in FPI, and No. 13 in SP+.
