Feel free also to join the discussion thread below to share your views.

Indiana and Winthrop tip-off at 4 p.m. ET on BTN.

    ———————————————————————–

    FINAL: Indiana 77, Winthrop 68

    SECOND HALF

And just like that, Winthrop has cut it to 70-68.

Indiana leads 69-60 with 3:48 on the clock.

    • Not out of it yet. Winthrop going to the line for two after the media timeout.
    • Still, Indiana has shut down Winthrop’s offense. They are two for their last 11 shot attempts.

Hoosiers up 63-55 with 7:25 to play.

    • A few good transition sequences from Indiana give them a larger lead. They lead Winthrop in fast break points overall 17-9.
    • IU has also played well defensively, as Winthrop is one for their last seven.

Indiana leads 55-51 with 11:34 on the clock.

    • Luke Goode is in another slump. Was left open at least twice during that stretch and didn’t convert. 1-for-16 on threes as a team now.
    • Myles Rice has had a nice game, though. 16 points, two rebounds and two assists so far.

Indiana up 53-47 with 15:15 left in the game.

    • Indiana in some foul trouble, as both Malik Reneau and Langdon Hatton have three apiece.
    • Nothing is going down from the outside, as IU is now 1-for-13 on 3-point attempts.

    HALFTIME: Indiana 41, Winthrop 37

    FIRST HALF

Hoosiers lead 34-28 with 3:10 left to play.

    • Makenzie Mgbako smoked a pretty open transition layup. He’s looked a bit off throughout the first half. Just four points on 2-for-8 shooting.
    • Indiana shooting 52 percent from the field overall, but is still 1-for-8 on 3-pointers. With a smaller lineup, you’d think those numbers would be a bit better.

Indiana’s lead cut to 25-22 with 7:51 left.

    • Hoosiers are just 1-of-6 on 3-point attempts so far, and Winthrop has knocked down three.

Indiana up 21-14 with 11:49 left to play.

    • Langdon Hatton has four offensive rebounds through three minutes of action. Seems silly to leave him out of the rotation moving forward; he’s played well in every game he’s appeared in.
    • Another even scoring effort so far from the Hoosiers. Multiple players have four points, which is the team high at this point.

Indiana leads 11-5 through the first media timeout.

    • Nice start from Rice on the offensive end. Using his speed to get to the rack and has converted twice.
    • Goode has played well on both sides of the floor as well. A knocked down three and a rebound for him to start.

    PREGAME

    • Oumar Ballo, listed as questionable on the injury report, is dressed but is not participating in warmups. Signs point to him sitting this game out.
    • In his place, Luke Goode enters the starting lineup, along with Reneau, Galloway, Mgbako and Rice.
