Indiana and the Huskies tip-off at 6 p.m. ET on Peacock.

    ———————————————————————–

    FINAL: Indiana 78, Washington 62

    SECOND HALF

Washington cuts in to the lead, with IU on top 69-56 with 3:47 to play.

    • Hoosiers still have to finish this one out but are on their way to their third straight win in the Big Ten. Plenty of momentum heading into a tough matchup against Oregon.
    • Indiana now has four double-figure scorers, with Rice and Mgbako each joining the mix. Quieter night from Mgabko, but he’s still added 10 points on 3-for-8 shooting.

64-44 all Hoosiers with 7:27 left to play.

    • That was a great sequence for the Hoosiers in the past few minutes. They’re now five of their last six from the field. Reneau and Goode are both in double figures with 18 and 15, respectively.
    • The defense has been a gem for Indiana in this one. They’ve held the Huskies to 35% from the field and have forced 11 turnovers. A complete game for IU.

13-3 run over the last seven minutes, capped off by a Luke Goode transition three. Timeout Washington.

Hoosiers lead 51-40 with 11:58 left to play.

    • Indiana hasn’t been as solid on offense as they were in the first half, but they’re still controlling Washington on both sides of the floor. They’ve held the Huskies to one of their last seven from the field and are getting open looks on offense.
    • Malik Reneau’s motor has looked solid all game. You would’ve never been able to tell he had anything wrong with his health in the recent days. Still has a perfect 6-6 from the field but hasn’t attempted anything in this half.

Indiana leads 46-37 with 16 minutes left to play.

    • It’s a slower start to the half for the Hoosiers, who have just scored two points off of free throws.
    • Hoosiers are doing a great job of putting pressure on Great Osobor, who has just two points so far. Some of Washington’s supporting pieces have stepped up, though, including Zoom Diallo, who has 12 points.

    HALFTIME: Indiana 44, Washington 30

    FIRST HALF

Hoosiers lead 39-26 with 2:09 left in the first.

    • Washington started to go on a bit of a run, but Indiana responded really nicely, capped with a Malik Reneau two-handed poster. IU is up to 50% from the field so far.
    • Hoosiers could be shooting better from three, as they’re only 5-13 from beyond the arc. They’re doing a good job on limiting turnovers though, with only four in the half.

Indiana leads 30-16 with 7:03 left in the half.

    • Myles Rice is getting into a groove on the offensive end. 3-3 from the field with two threes and has hauled in four rebounds. Doing a nice job of moving the ball around as well.
    • Washington can’t get any momentum on their offensive side. 6-18 from the field and shooting 2-9 from beyond the arc.

Myles Rice three forces a timeout from Washington. IU up 24-9.

Hoosiers build a 17-7 lead with 11:11 left in the half.

    • Indiana is doing a good job of controlling both sides of the ball. 14-2 run through six and a half minutes, and Washington is one for their last nine from the field.
    • Reneau comes off the bench and gets a bucket not long thereafter. Great Osobor has a foul already, and it looks like he’s trying to protect against a second. I would feed Reneau with that matchup any day.

IU leads 9-5 through the first media timeout. 15:50 left in the half.

    • Indiana has forced four turnovers through the first few minutes after some nice stops. Washington now running on a scoring drought in the last two and a half minutes.
    • Something to keep an eye on is the matchup between Goode and Osobor. Osobor has a near 50-pound advantage and an inch above Goode. IU has done a good job keeping off the block so far, though.

    PREGAME NOTES

    • It was previously reported that Malik Reneau did make the trip out to Washington this weekend, and is expected to play tonight. Cupps and Newton remain OUT for the Hoosiers.
    • It looks like Indiana will be wearing black uniforms tonight. I haven’t seen a picture of the top yet, but the bottom looks fairly similar to the women’s black uniforms, apart from a difference in the logo.
    • Starting lineup for IU: Galloway, Leal, Mgbako, Goode and Ballo
