Indiana and the Golden Eagles tip-off at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.

    ———————————————————————–

    SECOND HALF

IU leads 73-57 with 11:57 to play.

    • Marquette is not going away easily. Indiana’s foul trouble certainly isn’t helping. DeVries is now up to four fouls.
    • Good supporting role from Lamar Wilkerson in this one. Now with 17 points on 6-14 shooting.

Hoosiers up 62-44 with 15:49 left to play.

    • Indiana is still controlling, but foul trouble is going to be an issue. Sam Alexis, Reed Bailey, and Tayton Conerway all have three, and Enright now has four. Hoosiers have only gone eight deep, and that’s probably going to be the case the rest of the way out.
    • On the bright side, the Hoosiers are now 50% from three-point range, 8-16. Indiana is continuing to get open looks and converting on them.

    HALFTIME: Indiana 56 – Marquette 38

Conor Enright to cap off the half with a half-court buzzer beater. Wow.

    FIRST HALF

Hoosiers opening it up a bit, leading 45-34 with 3:14 in the half.

    • Tucker DeVries is a hooper y’all. 24 points on 8-11 shooting. Looks very composed and comfortable, no matter where he’s letting it fly. NBA-level stuff.
    • Hoosiers continue to show up well on the defensive side. Marquette is at 39 percent from the field, and 2-6 from three. Crucial few minutes to keep the momentum heading into the half.

Indiana up 30-27 with 7:54 left in the first half.

    • Tucker DeVries is starting to heat up. He’s up to 16 for the Hoosiers, shooting 6-8 from the field and 3-5 from three. Indiana hasn’t missed their last three field goal attempts.
    • Marquette also starting to get in a groove offensively. Chase Ross is up to 8, and Nigel James Jr. has 7.

IU continues to lead 19-15 with 11:38 in the half.

    • Energy level picking up in Chicago for the Hoosiers. Tucker DeVries is finding his spots from outside; he has 12. Marquette is just 3-8 from the field so far.
    • Great effort on the offensive glass for IU so far as well. They’ve hauled in four already. They’re taking care of the ball well aslo with only one turnover.

Hoosiers up 8-6 through the first media timeout, 15:52 left in the half.

    • Indiana is doing well defensively as Marquette has yet to make a field goal. However, foul trouble is racking up already. Reed Bailey is already sitting with two, and the team has six already.
    • IU is getting some looks offensively, but is still trying to feel out Marquette. As expected, Marquette is bringing a lot of on-ball pressure and trying to force Indiana to work off of it.

    PREGAME NOTES

    • Mike is on-site for us and says that Nick Dorn looks to be out. He isn’t dressed for warmups. Jasai Miles also has some heavy wrapping on his shooting hand. Health continues to be a question mark early.
    • Fun little nugget also: Tom Crean is going to be an analyst for today’s game. Cory Alexander had travel issues, so Crean will step up to take his spot for his two former teams.
    • Once again, pay attention to Indiana’s start, especially on the offensive side. Marquette has done well defending the three in their first few games.
