The portal names to know keep rolling in.

Today we take a look at former Florida guard Kowacie Reeves, Jr., who Indiana has contacted according to 247Sports national analyst Travis Branham.

On the offensive end, Reeves is a high usage wing with a high ceiling who has to become more efficient.

In 19.3 minutes per game this season for Florida mostly coming off the bench, Reeves averaged 8.5 points per game and 2.6 rebounds on 37.7 percent shooting from the field.  He made 50.4 percent from two and 26.2 percent from three on 130 attempts from long range.  He shot 71 percent from the free throw line.

With just a 13.1 percent turnover rate, Reeves takes pretty good care of the basketball.

According to On3, Reeves is the ninth best shooting guard in the portal right now.  247 has him as the ninth best overall player in the portal. He has the skill and athleticism to be the kind of three-level wing scorer Indiana has been looking for, and he could be a player who blossoms as an upperclassman.

Some of the other schools involved according to Branham have been Virginia Tech, Stanford, Arkansas, Maryland, Clemson, Cincinnati, Boston College, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Ole Miss, NC State, Louisville, Dayton, Kansas, Georgia State, Tulane, Georgia Southern and Appalachian State.

The 6-foot-6 Reeves has two years of eligibility remaining.  He averaged 5.5 points with 32 made 3-pointers (33.3 percent) as a freshman.

Reeves was a Rivals five-star recruit and ESPN and 247 four-star prospect, rated in the top 30 overall and the No. 6 shooting guard by both Rivals and 247.

Hailing from Macon, Geo., Reeves attended Westside H.S. and has a connection to IU assistant coach Yasir Rosemond.
