For the fourth year in a row, Indiana will host Marian University for a home exhibition game.
The Hoosiers and Knights will play on Friday, Oct. 17 inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
The game is part of homecoming weekend. IU football will host Michigan State the following day.
Marian features head coach Pat Knight, a former IU basketball player and the son of legendary IU coach Bob Knight. Former IU basketball great Steve Downing is the Director of Athletics at the Indianapolis-based school.
Pat Knight kissed the floor ahead of last year’s exhibition game, a contest IU won 106-64.
Marian went 11-17 last season, Knight’s first year as head coach.
The year, Marian’s roster features 14 players from the state of Indiana, including Luke Lindeman, the son of former IU player Todd Lindeman, who was a teammate of Pat Knight in Bloomington.
The Hoosiers are 32-0 in exhibition games versus non-Division I opponents since 2004-05, and 4-0 against Marian.
