For the second straight year, IU basketball will take on a high major opponent in a preseason exhibition.
The Hoosiers will face Baylor on Sunday, Oct. 26 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis, Ind.
The tip-time for the game has not been announced, but a link to buy tickets is available by GOING HERE. The Indianapolis Colts will host the Tennessee Titans down the street at Lucas Oil Stadium that same day at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Baylor is led by longtime Indiana resident and 2021 national champion head coach Scott Drew.
New IU coach Darian DeVries faced Drew in a Big 12 contest last year. Baylor beat West Virginia in Waco in overtime.
Baylor is in a similar position to Indiana headed into the 2025-26 season, with a completely new roster. Here are the new pieces added by Drew during the offseason:
- Obi Agbim (17.6 PPG at Wyoming),
- Michael Rataj (16.9 PPG at Oregon State),
- JJ White (13.7 PPG at Omaha),
- Isaac Williams (10.8 PPG at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi),
- Caden Powell (10.4 PPG at Rice),
- Dan Skillings Jr. (9.2 PPG at Cincinnati),
- Juslin Bodo (5.3 PPG at High Point),
- Cameron Carr (4.8 PPG at Tennessee),
- Will Kuykendall (0.0 PPG at Arizona)
- Tounde Yessoufou (5-star),
- Andre Iguodala Jr. (4-star),
- Ramon Soyoye (Not ranked),
- Maikcol Perez (international)
This one won’t count in the record books, but it’s worth noting, IU and Baylor have only played once — an 83-47 Hoosiers win in Dec. 1980.
This is the second of two exhibitions ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. IU will also face Marian on Oct. 17.
The Hoosiers open the 2025-26 regular season on Nov. 5 against Alabama A&M. They’ll return to Gainbridge in Indianapolis on Dec. 6 when they face Louisville.
