IU Basketball Targets to Know in the New Rivals Class of 2020 Top 125

Rivals has updated its class of 2020 Top 125, with a number of Indiana targets included in the list.

This may be a class where Indiana ends up focusing a bit more outside of the Hoosier state.

The conventional wisdom right now is that the class of 2020 is not as elite in-state as the classes of 2019 and 2021.  To that end, there may not end up being any in-state five star players.  Nevertheless, there are two Indiana players in the Rivals rankings — Anthony Leal and Trey Galloway.  Leal entered the rankings for the first time after an impressive spring.

There are also some notable Indiana in-state names that are surprisingly absent from the list including Tre Coleman of Jeffersonville and Mabor Majak of Hamilton Southeastern.

A word of caution — these are still very early rankings that will change a great deal over the next year.  Players like D.J. Carton were nowhere to be found at this time last year.  Now he is a five-star attracting interest at the highest levels of college basketball.

47 – Ethan Morton – Indiana has offered the 6-foot-4 guard from Pennsylvania.  You can read our story on Morton here.

63 – Symir Torrence – The 6-foot-3 guard from Vermont has visited Indiana.

71 – Zach Loveday – Indiana offered the 7-foot Ohio center in June.

75 – Dain Dainja – Indiana has shown interest in the 6-foot-8 forward from Minnesota.

81 – Trey Galloway – Indiana has an ongoing dialogue with the 6-foot-3 guard from Culver, Indiana.  He has been to Bloomington for visits.

90 – Ben Carlson – The 6-foot-9 forward from Minnesota visited Indiana in May.

122 – Anthony Leal – The 6-foot-4 guard and local Bloomington, Indiana product has an ongoing dialogue with the Indiana program.
