Thursday was the first day that college basketball staffs could make direct contact with rising juniors.

To be clear, Indiana and other staffs have been having conversations with players in the class of 2025 for a long time, but until Thursday those connections were facilitated by coaches and parents.

With the transfer portal in full effect, this class hasn’t had a great deal of attention to this point, but that will start to change soon.

The IU staff contacted all of the players you would have expected on Thursday, like in-state stars Jalen Haralson (Fishers H.S.) and Trent Sisley (Heritage Hills H.S.), along with long-time main targets Meleek Thomas, Trey McKenney, and several others in the 2025 class.

You can always see the 2025 prospects Indiana has already offered and we’ve previously covered HERE.

But we thought we’d highlight a few other prospects on the radar that the Hoosiers are in contact with, including this week.

As attention on the transfer portal and the class of 2024 begins to wane a bit in the coming months, these are likely to be some of the 2025 players IU could begin to focus on more intently.  They all already have high major offers and IU contacted them directly this week:

Joson Sanon – Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts. The 6-foot-5 Sanon is a national top-25 prospect with several high major offers.  He’s been on the IU radar for a while now.

Hudson Greer – Austin, Texas.  The 6-foot-6 Greer is a national top-60 prospect with several high major offers.  IU has been in fairly regular contact with his family.

Nate Ament – Manassas, Virgina.  The 6-foot-8 Ament is a national top-100 prospect who has earned multiple high major offers.

Alier Maluk – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The 6-foot-10 Maluk in a national top-25 prospect, already has several high major offers and IU has visited him.

Amare Bynum – Omaha, Nebraska.  The 6-foot-8 Bynum is not yet in the rankings but has offers from Nebraska, Iowa State and Tennessee.

Sadiq White – Charlotte, N.C. The 6-foot-7 White is a national top-25 prospect who has earned multiple high major offers.

Nyk Lewis – Washington D.C.  The 6-foot-2 Lewis is a national top-40 prospect who has earned multiple high major offers.

Bryce Heard – Chicago, Illinois. The 6-foot-5 Heard is a national top-50 prospect with multiple high major offers.  He visited IU during the 2022-23 season.

Dezmon Briscoe – Indianapolis, Indiana. The 6-foot-6 Crispus Attucks product is starting to appear in some national rankings, has an Iowa offer, and is firmly on the IU radar.

Azavier Robinson – Indianapolis, Indiana.  The 6-foot-1 Robinson attends Lawrence North H.S. and he is starting to appear in the rankings and receive high major offers.  He visited IU during the 2022-23 season.

We’ll have more on many of these and other 2025 prospects in the coming months.
