The recruiting front has been relatively quiet for IU basketball lately, but there have been been a couple developments.

There’s a new name to monitor on the class of 2025 board after Jaziah Harper visited Indiana last week for the game against Chattanooga.

A lefty sharpshooter, Harper also recently visited Wisconsin and he holds offers from several D1 programs.  He is from Illinois and attended Oak Park River Forest prior to coming to Bosco Institute in Crown Point, Ind.  Bosco plays some national competition including nearby La Lumiere.

The 6-foot-6 Harper got a visit from IU Director of Player Development Calbert Cheaney recently.  He’s No. 15 in both highlight reels below.  The second is against La Lumiere.

Jaziah Harper continues on his journey . There is nothing more gratifying then seeing young men develop & have the opportunity to be recruited @ the level they are capable of playing atThanks to Assistant Coach & Indiana University legend Calbert Chaney for coming out

As first reported by On3’s Jamie Shaw last month, class of 2026 wing Anthony Thompson will be attending this weekend’s home game against Winthrop.

Also a smooth lefty shooter, Thompson is a top-20 national prospect in the 2026 class.  According to the On3 Industry Average, he’s the No. 17 overall player in the class.

Thompson has already taken several visits to IU over the last couple years.

“It’s a great basketball school. I was just able to build a better relationship with the coaches, look at the facilities and just get an overall feel of what it’s all about,” Thompson told TDH when we caught up with him in July.

“They (the IU coaches) like my versatility, all aspects of my game. My length. My potential to continue to just get better by the time I get to college, build strength and more skill to be able to fit into their offense and defense.”

From Lebanon, Ohio, Thompson attends Western Reserve Academy in that state.  He’s 6-foot-8 with a 7-foot-2 wingspan.  Thompson’s midseason highlights are below.
