Indiana’s new staff has offered one of the top class of 2026 prospects in the state of Texas.
6-foot-8 and 205-pound Davion Adkins reported an offer from IU on his X page on Thursday afternoon.
Adkins attends Oak Cliff Faith Family in Dallas. He has a profile similar to Trayce Jackson-Davis in that he’s a lefty elite athlete with a very quick second jump who can run the floor and dominate the paint area on lobs and put-backs. Adkins also shows the ability to make jump shots. He’s been reported to have a 7-foot-2 wingspan.
According to the On3 industry average, Adkins is the No. 23 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 3 power forward. He is the No. 1 player in the state of Texas in his class and a consensus top-40 4-star prospect across all of the national recruiting sites.
For spring and summer basketball Adkins plays for the Southern Assault on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. He also participated in the Team USA junior minicamp in April.
Adkins’ recruitment projects as a highly competitive national affair. He also has offers from Arizona State, Kansas State, LSU, Oklahoma State, Texas, Houston, Texas Tech, Cal, Oregon, TCU, SMU and Rutgers.
Adkins is No. 25 in yellow in the video below from last month.
