Indiana is among the final six schools for class of 2027 center Darius Wabbington.
The 6-foot-11 Arizona product is also still considering Arizona, Kentucky, North Carolina, Louisville and Texas.
Wabbington is in the process of scheduling official visits. Louisville, Arizona and Texas visits have been set, but to this point there are no reports of an IU visit. A trip to Bloomington will be a key marker to keep an eye on.
Indiana’s staff offered Wabbington last summer.
Based on the average of the national rankings, Wabbington is a 4-star, the No. 14 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 1 center.
Wabbington attends Sunnyslope H.S. and he led the school to an open state championship. He averaged 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game as a high school junior.
This spring, Wabbington posted 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while shooting over 38% from three for the Compton Magic on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.
He was named to the USA Basketball U18 National Team.
Wabbington’s father Derek played collegiate basketball at Wyoming and played semi-pro basketball in the Arizona area.
Wabbington excluded schools such as Purdue, Villanova, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, Washington, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Providence, Stanford, Baylor, LSU, and others in this list cut.
