THREE KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Hoosiers navigate crazy final two minutes, two overtimes. Indiana blew a 10-point lead with less than two minutes left in regulation. They saw three players foul out, including Conor Enright, which left them with no point guard throughout overtime. But the Hoosiers found a way. Sam Alexis scored with six seconds remaining in the first overtime to tie the game. Trent Sisley made a free throw in the final second of the second overtime to make the difference.
2. Dorn and Bailey give UCLA more to think about. Early in the season, opponents looked to take away Lamar Wilkerson and Tucker DeVries, and teams had success with that. But Nick Dorn has changed the outlook for IU. He poured in 26 points and made six threes. Reed Bailey had a massive game too, pouring in 24 points on 6 of 7 shooting and 12 of 13 at the free throw line.
3. Solid defense on the road. Indiana held UCLA under 40% shooting on its home floor, including 7 of 22 from three. The IU defense was especially good in the second half, holding the Bruins to 25 points for the first 18:30 of the second stanza. But fueled by their pressure, UCLA scored 15 points in the final 1:30 to force overtime.
