    ———————————–

    FOURTH QUARTER

Indiana wins it 93-71. Here’s what I’ve got for final scoring:

    Wilkerson 18
    Alexis 13
    Conerway 12
    DeVries 10
    Sisley 10
    Bailey 8
    Enright 6
    Harris 6
    Ristic 5
    Miles 3
    Stephens 2

Walk on Ian Stephens on the board. It’s 91-63 IU leads. This has been around a 50 point in game turnaround.

Indiana up 20 now after a Sisley three. Hoosiers figured some stuff out tonight.  83-63 with 4:17 left.

Indiana has pulled away here. 78-63 Hoosiers with 6:46 left.

    THIRD QUARTER

A Ristic three gives IU the 67-59 lead after three.

Indiana up 64-59 with 1:01 left in the third. They’ve gone from down 19 at least to this their biggest lead. Very impressive response.

Fouls really adding up on IU. Enright has 5, Conerway has 4.

Indiana takes the lead on an Alexis put back dunk. 54-53 IU leads.

Wilkerson with another three after DeVries dove on the floor to save a possession, it’s 53-52 Mega, timeout.

Great start to the second for Indiana.  Wilkerson with a quick five.  It’s 49-46 Mega with 8 minutes left.

    HALFTIME

    Unofficial first half scoring:

    Alexis 4
    Wilkerson 5
    Enright 4
    Conerway 8
    Sisley 5
    Bailey 6
    DeVries 3

    My notes on that half:

Indiana lacked defensive intensity early and that led to a lot of easy looks for Mega.  The Serbians were playing a much more aggressive defensive style early, and Indiana responded and matched it.  The officials have generally let both teams play physical.

Indiana was miserable from three early.  We don’t have live stats but I’d guess they started around 1-of-10.  Conerway, DeVries and Sisley all made threes in the second quarter.

The Hoosiers were also struggling with Mega’s length around the rim on both ends.

It’s unlikely IU will come back in this game, but it will be interesting to see if they can carry that second quarter into the second half, and then into Monday against the same team.

    SECOND QUARTER

It’s 48-35 Mega at the half. Indiana outscored Mega 19-17 in the segment.

Conerway leads IU with 8 points. It’s 48-32 Mega with 1:01 left in the first half.

It’s 44-27 Mega with 4:05 left in the first half.

Lamar Wilkerson has three first half fouls and takes a seat with IU trailing 39-21.

    FIRST QUARTER

It’s 31-16 Mega after one quarter.  Wilkerson leads IU with 5 points.

Another first quarter timeout here, Mega leading 29-12. Alexis leading IU with 4 points.

It’s 23-10 Mega with 4:00 left in the first quarter. Indiana struggling with Mega’s length, and they are making threes at a much higher rate so far.

Same starting five: Conerway, Enright, Bailey, Wilkerson and DeVries.

We are underway.  Mega wins the tip.

    PREGAME NOTES

    Here is Mega Superbet’s roster:

    Image

This is a really long team.  They have a couple smaller point guards, but the majority of the team is 6-foot-6 or more, with a few guys who appear to be in the 6-foot-10 to 7-foot range.
