December 20th through the 22nd is the early signing period for college football. We’ll monitor and update the developments as they transpire here. Below is the current list of the 21 players that have committed to Indiana prior to the early signing period along with the top remaining uncommitted targets.
8:43 — Great start for the Hoosiers. 16 of 21 verbal commitments have signed and no major surprises to this point.
8:45 — Make that 18 of 21 as Aidan Rafferty and Matt Bjorson sign.
9:01 — Shamar Jones signs. 19 of 21 commits signed.
9:45 — Miami DE James Head, Jr. signs. 20 of 21 commits signed.
9:58 — First surprise of the day isn’t good news as Randy Charlton shocks both IU and Syracuse and goes to FIU.
10:15 — Final remaining commit Cam Jones expected to sign at 11:30 EST
11:15 — First uncommitted player to sign — Noah Pierre, DB, Miami, FL
12:02 — Cam Jones signs and that makes 21 for 21 of previously commits signed!
12:09 — BTN reporting IU at 45th nationally (247 composite) and 11th in the B1G. Obviously these rankings are still fluid. Next big announcement is QB Michael Penix this afternoon.
1:15 — Big win for IU — QB Michael Penix commits to the Hoosiers!
Thursday 7:30 AM — An amazing late night addition in Miami area Randy Charlton. Previously uncommitted and reports had him going to Florida International. Big win for IU! For now he is committed but not signed.
Friday 11:30 AM — The Randy Charlton saga continues as he flips yet again, this time to Central Florida, and this time he has apparently signed his national letter of intent.
