    Indiana Basketbal 2017-18 Basketball Season: All-Time Program Essentials

    Indiana University will tip-off its 118th season of men’s college basketball on November 10, 2017 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall against the Indiana State Sycamore.  Indiana has played at SSAH since 1971.  Below is a summary of the more significant all-time national and conference accomplishments of the program going into the season:

    Head Coach:  Archie Miller (29th head coach at Indiana)

    All-time record: 1801-1019 (11th all-time in wins)

    Winning percentage:  .639 (21st all-time)

    NCAA Tournament Appearances: 39 Years (7th all-time)

    NCAA Tournament Record (66-34 record) (7th all-time wins)

    Final Fours:  8 (9th all-time)

    NCAA Championships: 1940, 1953, 1976, 1981 and 1987 (tied at 4th)

    Weeks Ranked Number 1:  54 (6th all-time)

    Most Times Defeating Number 1 Team:  7 (9th all-time)

    The last NCAA Division 1 program to complete an undefeated season.

    Ranked in AP Poll: 30 Times (Preseason), 28 Times (Final), 553 Weeks (Total)

    Consensus First Team All Americans:  16 (Dean, McCracken, Huffman, Andres, Hamilton, Schlundt, May [2], Benson [2], Thomas, Alford [2], Cheaney, Guyton, Oladipo.

    Naismith Winners:  Scott May and Calbert Cheaney
