    GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE PERFORMANCE

“It was definitely disappointing. I thought we had a good couple days of practice leading up to this. I thought the guys were ready to go and you know, we just we didn’t do enough of the little things tonight.

“Defensively, we’ve been pretty good all year. We created some turnovers with their 16 turnovers, but they just got too many clean ones and got to the free throw line 27 times tonight. It’s’ a tough way for a defense to survive.

“And then offensively, I thought we just didn’t get the movement.  We needed to get better quality shots throughout the game and we got to find better ways on my part to be able to put us in better positions there.”

ON WHETHER THERE WAS A LOSS OF FOCUS COMING INTO THE GAME

“No, I don’t, not at all. I think we came in, we were ready to go. You know, the guys, were out there competing, and it was a road game. Our first road game, we got we got to learn from it, we got to come back, and we got to be better.”

ON THE DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE LOCKER ROOM FOLLOWING THE FIRST LOSS

“You go through a season, you, you’re gonna lose a game at some point, most likely, now your challenge is after you lose a game is how you’re going to respond. And we got a lot of veterans in that locker room and played a lot of basketball, and you know, I expect them to come back and be ready to fix some things, and give a really good effort on Saturday. ”

Indiana (7-1) returns to action Saturday when they’ll face Louisville in Indianapolis.
