IU basketball will represent the USA in the fourth edition of the FISU (International University Sports Federation) America Games in Lima, Peru over the next week.
The event will feature 15 sports and span 13 days of competition from July 20 through August 1.
USA men’s basketball will open group play against Peru, the host nation, at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 21, at the VES Sports Centre.
The final group-stage contest will be played against the Virgin Islands at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 23, at the VES Sports Centre.
Elimination rounds will begin on Saturday, July 25.
As we’ve previously reported, Turkish center Samet Yigitoglu is not eligible to play for Team USA in these games. He is in Peru with the team, however. German center Clemens Sokolov has not yet joined the team. The rest of the team is expected to participate.
