The long awaited year two of the Curt Cignetti era is here.
It’s game week as the Hoosiers get set to face Old Dominion Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET (FS1) at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
The Monarchs are likely going to pose the biggest threat during the nonconference portion of Indiana’s 2025 schedule. The Sun Belt Conference squad opened the 2024 season with a near upset of South Carolina on the road. ODU lost that one by four, 23-19. We’ll have more on the Monarchs in our primer and prediction feature later in the week.
So what’s the outlook for Saturday in Bloomington?
The gambling forecast in Vegas is calling IU around a 23-point favorite, give or take a half point at various outlets.
ESPN’s Bill Connelly’s SP+ model gives IU a 95% chance to win and projects a score of 40-14 in favor of the Hoosiers.
Meanwhile, ESPN’s FPI model gives IU an 88.5% chance to win.
The early weather forecast for Saturday appears to be picture perfect, with kickoff temperatures in the 70s, and no precipitation or meaningful wind. Obviously you’ll want to check back on that later in the week.
