All of the games that will impact the rankings and seeds for the College Football Playoff are complete, and the Committee is making their final tweaks leading up to the Sunday afternoon announcement.

As we’ve reported this week, Indiana appears to be solidly in the CFP, and almost certain to be playing on the road in the first round.  Nothing that has happened over the last couple days has changed that outlook.

The CFP bracket will be unveiled on Sunday, Dec. 8 at noon ET on ESPN.  The selection show is scheduled for four hours, but the unveiling should happen early in the broadcast.

Here is the The Daily Hoosier’s prediction for the final CFP seeds:

    1. Oregon
    2. Georgia
    3. Boise State
    4. Arizona State
    5. Texas
    6. Penn State
    7. Notre Dame
    8. Ohio State
    9. Tennessee
    10. Indiana
    11. Clemson
    12. Alabama

The top four teams get byes.  Seeds 5-8 host seeds 9-12.

This would result in Indiana playing at Notre Dame on either Dec. 20 or 21.  The winner of the No. 10/7 game will go on to play Georgia.

Below are some national predictions for the final bracket announcement.  As you can see, there is still a wide range of potential opponents for IU.

A total of 13 ESPN staff members made predictions for the final bracket seeds late Saturday evening.  Indiana is the No. 9 or 10 seed in all 13 predictions.  The predicted opponents (total predictions) are Notre Dame (4), Texas (3), Tennessee (2), Ohio State (3), Penn State (1).

Elsewhere, NBC’s Nicole Auerbach has No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Texas, Yahoo!’s Ross Dellenger has No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Texas, and Action Network’s Brett McMurphy has No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Notre Dame.
