Miles announced his commitment to Indiana during an official visit to Bloomington on April 16. The 6-foot-6 Miles started all 32 games for North Florida in 2024-25 and averaged 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists on 42.5 percent shooting from the field including 33.5 percent from three in 31.4 minutes. As a freshman in 2024-25 he started and played in 30 games and averaged 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds on 55.7 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three in 22.5 minutes per game. Assembly Ball, the Indiana alumni team hosting The Basketball Tournament’s (TBT) regional alongside All Good Dawgs (Butler Alumni) at the Hinkle Fieldhouse from July 19-22, today announced the roster addition of former Hoosier Troy Williams. Williams joins Yogi Ferrell and James Blackmon Jr. as the first three roster commitments for Assembly Ball. Additional players will be announced in the coming weeks. For the sixth straight year, IU Athletics can claim overall superiority over Purdue. Indiana holds an insurmountable 11-to-7 edge over the Boilermakers in the annual Governor’s Cup competition with just two points left to be determined through the end of the 2024-25 academic year. Former IU basketball coach Mike Woodson released a statement Friday evening on his social media accounts expressing gratitude for his four years leading the Indiana program in Bloomington. Woodson thanked everyone in the program and his friends and family. After spending 36 seasons in the NBA as a player and coach, Woodson came to Indiana in 2021. He coached IU for four seasons and compiled an 82-53 record including 41-39 in the Big Ten.
