Session two of the July live window for NCAA basketball recruiting began on Wednesday.  With the Nike EYBL formally wrapped up after the Peach Jam, action spreads out to multiple venues this week and weekend.  With that the IU coaching staff is spread out all over the country. It has been an interesting couple of weeks on the Yogi Ferrell NBA news front. First Dallas had rescinded their $2.9 million qualifying offer to Ferrell two weeks ago, making him an unrestricted free agent.  That announcement came with wide speculation that the qualifying offer was “a placeholder” as the team worked to re-sign Ferrell. When we last wrote about the recruitment of class of 2019 forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, we cautioned that Hoosier fans would need to exercise some patience.  That was two months ago.  We may need to take our own advice, because this is turning into a bit more than what we expected. Indiana University football wide receiver Nick Westbrook had a huge 2016 season.  Despite missing virtually the entire 2017 season, his performance has not been lost on the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, which released this year’s preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award. Westbrook was one of three Big Ten Conference receivers that were included on the 2018 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list that was released on Thursday.  The other two Big Ten receivers are both from Nebraska — Stanley Morgan, Jr. and JD Spielman. The Florida native caught 54 passes for 995 yards and six touchdowns in 2016.  He led the team…
