It started with an IU baseball game in April. Then came the news that legendary former Indiana head coach Bob Knight was buying a house in Bloomington. Now?  Well, Coach Knight seems to be popping up everywhere in Indiana.  Despite reports of declining health, Knight, who turned 79 last month, has been seen in and around Bloomington on several occasions recently. After a roller coaster turn of events in the first half, Indiana emerged right where they wanted to be entering the third quarter. With the ball to open the half and trailing just 20-14, IU ran seven plays and gained 15 yards out to their own 44 yard line.  The drive stalled out, and with a chance to pin Penn State back deep in their own territory, it was time to punt. Indiana had a week off, but the headlines continued to emerge from Bloomington.  With the Hoosiers in the midst of what has been a special season to this point, the news was mixed. After shuffling in and out of the starting lineup with various injuries all season, quarterback Michael Penix had surgery and was declared out for the season. Next, for the first time in 25 years Indiana entered the top 25. November 13-20 is the college basketball early signing period, and IU class of 2020 commits Trey Galloway, Jordan Geronimo and Anthony Leal have all signed their national letters of intent this week. As it currently stands, the Hoosiers have one open scholarship on their 2020-21 roster. In a loaded in-state class of 2021, a few players have emerged as priority targets for Indiana, and one of them will be on the IU campus this weekend. South Bend Riley guard Blake Wesley is taking a junior year official visit to Indiana beginning on Friday and ending on Sunday.  Wesley will be in attendance for Saturday’s game against Troy. Allen announced that quarterback Peyton Ramsey has been named as one of the team captains.  Ramsey will be the starter for the rest of the season after Michael Penix had season ending surgery.
