After a strong showing to end his summer AAU season, Indianapolis based guard C.J. Gunn earned an offer from IU. This one has been in the works for a while. Indiana offered class of 2022 West Virginia based guard Isaac McKneely on Thursday. McKneely reported the offer on his Twitter page. https://twitter.com/IsaacMcKneely/status/1296588238438780929?s=20 McKneely took an unofficial visit to Bloomington in December in connection with the basketball game against Arkansas. From there, the McKneely has had a regular dialogue with Archie Miller and the IU coaching staff. The renewal of the Indiana and Kentucky college basketball series is a popular topic for the fans and media, but until recently we hadn’t heard much from the head coaches. It is always a challenge to keep the top high school football talent in the state of Indiana home. That will be true once again with an in-state prospect ranked inside the national top-100 in the class of 2023. Recruiting service 247Sports released its first class of 2023 rankings, and Merrillville, Ind. linebacker Drayk Bowen cracked the top-100 as the No. 61 player in the country. After intense scrutiny from administrators, coaches, players, fans and the some members of the media, Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren has expanded on the league’s rationale for postponing fall sports. In an open letter to the Big Ten community, Warren laid out several factors that led the league’s university presidents and chancellors to vote for postponement. When we last heard from Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, the rationale for cancelling fall sports, including football, could not have been more clear. “Our overarching issue that we had to always keep at the top of our mind was that the health, safety, the wellness, both physical and mental for our student athletes, was going to be at the top of my list,” Warren told Dave Revsine on the Big Ten Network.
