Indiana University director of athletics Scott Dolson introduced Mike Woodson on Monday morning at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. After some opening remarks by Dolson he introduced Woodson, who arrives at IU after a lengthy NBA coaching career. After two Sweet 16 runs in the last three NCAA Tournaments, Loyola Chicago’s Porter Moser was already a hot name for numerous head coach vacancies including Indiana. Indiana freshman guard Khristian Lander is the latest member of the Indiana basketball team to put his name in the transfer portal, The Daily Hoosier has confirmed. ESPN’s Jeff Borzello appears to have been the first to report the news. Lander moved up a year to join IU in the class of 2020 and play for recently fired head coach Archie Miller. The college basketball world was dealt a big surprise on Friday morning when the news broke that Texas head coach Shaka Smart was leaving Austin to take the open position at Marquette. Indiana linebacker Thomas Allen met with the media this week to discuss his recovery from a serious hip injury suffered in November at Michigan State. The son of IU coach Tom Allen discusses his decision to keep playing football, rehab, the support system he has, and much more. Former Indiana basketball head coach Mike Davis joined A.J. Guyton to discuss his time in Bloomington. The pair discusses Davis stepping in for legendary coach Bob Knight, the magical 2002 national championship run, and much more. Make that three in two days. Indiana forward Race Thompson has entered the transfer portal according to multiple reports, becoming the third IU player to make that decision already this week in the wake of the school’s decision to fire Archie Miller. The 6-foot-8 Thompson averaged 9.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in 2020-21, both career highs.  He added 1.4 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1 steal per game. Thompson started all 27 games, the first starts of his career, and averaged 28.2 minutes per contest.  The Minnesota native arrived in Bloomington in 2017 and took a redshirt season.  He lost most…
