Indiana women’s basketball placed four players on the 2020-21 All-Big Ten teams as the conference announced its annual postseason awards on Monday. For the second-consecutive season, two Hoosiers were named to the All-Big Ten First team by both the coaches and media in sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes and junior guard Grace Berger. Berger repeats as a first team honoree from last season while Holmes earns the league’s highest honors for the first time in her career and also earned a spot on the media’s All-Defensive Team. Indiana head coach Archie Miller joined radio voice Don Fischer on the final edition of Inside IU Basketball for the 2020-21 season. Miller and Fischer looked back at the loss to Purdue and previewed this week’s Big Ten Tournament. Indiana head football coach Tom Allen met with the media on Monday afternoon to preview spring practice. The Hoosiers begin spring practice on Tuesday and will hold 15 practices through April 10.  The program has yet to release information about a spring football game. The Hoosiers plucked a recruit right out of the heart of Razorbacks’ country. Indiana picked up its first class of 2022 commit on Monday afternoon when 3-star linebacker Kaiden Turner announced his verbal pledge. Although its athletic department is navigating challenging financial times during the pandemic, Indiana found a way to further solidify its relationship with football coach Tom Allen. Indiana University and Allen have agreed to an amendment to his current seven-year contract that will increase Allen’s annual average compensation to $4.9 million through the 2027 season the school said in a release.
