Dunking in games since the seventh grade, class of 2025 wing Trent Sisley’s game has always been ahead of the curve. Naturally, his college recruitment has followed along that same path. Indiana offered the Heritage Hills High School (Lincoln City, Ind.) freshman on Tuesday, still a few days before he plays his first high school game. Sisley reported the offer on his Twitter page. https://twitter.com/SisleyTrent/status/1463249873176772618?s=20 IU is the second high major program to offer Sisley, following in-state rival Purdue. The recruitments of local phenoms can take on a life of their own in Indiana, but Sisley’s father Matt believes his…
Two more IU football players put their names in the transfer portal this week as linebacker/bull D.K. Bonhomme and defensive lineman C.J. Person became the latest to move on from the program. The exit by the pair this week marks the latest of several in season transfers including wide receiver Jacolby Hewitt, running back Tim Baldwin, cornerback Larry Tracy, wide receiver Da’Shaun Brown and tight end Kham Taylor. Running back Sampson James also left during fall camp. While head coach Tom Allen had expressed frustration with some of the earlier midseason entries into the portal, conversations, especially with injured players,…

When it comes to producing elite basketball talent, the state of Kentucky seems to be quickly improving. Already in the class of 2023 you’ve seen Indiana swing and miss on top-60 prospects from the Bluegrass State in forward Kaleb Glenn and guard Reed Sheppard, who are headed to Louisville and Kentucky, respectively. This follows the state producing just one top-100 talent in the three prior classes and generally speaking lagging far behind the state of Indiana in that regard. The class of 2024 projects to be strong at the top in Kentucky as well, and two of the better prospects…
In most basketball programs, excessive turnovers might land a player on the bench, and they might get a few stern words from their head coach. Those are tactics that Indiana head coach Mike Woodson has no doubt used from time-to-time to get someone’s attention who keeps giving the ball away to the other team. But the long-time NBA and first year college coach has another trick up his sleeve. If his team exceeds their turnover limit for a game they have to run. That’s still pretty standard stuff, but what’s worse is that they have to watch their 63-year-old head…
