Indiana senior linebacker Micah McFadden earned second-team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s coaches and media, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. McFadden was recognized for the third-straight year after he collected first-team distinction in 2020 and honorable-mention laurels in 2019. The process of narrowing the roster back down to 85 scholarship players continued on Monday after three now former IU football wide receivers placed their names in the transfer portal. Miles Marshall, Camron Buckley and Jordyn Williams are the latest to announce their intent to look elsewhere for playing time in the 2022 season. Playing on one of, if not the best team in Georgia, Jakai Newton and the Newton Rams are off to a 4-0 start to the 2021-22 campaign. They are ranked No. 1 in the state’s class 7A.
